landlocked and learning

Hiyas- i've been powerboating all my life and did a stint in uncle sam's yacht club, but it always seemed that sailing brings you closer to the sea than anything else so i'm finally trying it. The first time at the tiller was like magic, i couldn't believe that the boat could slip against the wind like that. i'm working on learning when I can get out to Cali, this will be my second trip this coming weekend- we'll putter around long beach in a chartered c22. Eventually I want to work my way up to something that will safely take us over to Catalina. anybody know a place i can do ASA 102 in Tucson?
