Hello from Maine

Hello all...

I have a 1970's small day sailer, a 17' Siren, a fiberglass boat built in
Sarnia Canada. I mostly sail it in Frenchmans Bay, near Mt. Desert Island
in Maine.

While I love old wooden boats and maritime history, having volunteered at the Mystic Seaport when I lived in CT; there's no way I could keep up with wooden boat, so I make do with fiberglass.

My other skills involve growing organic fruit and making organic fruit wines here at Shalom Orchard. As well as managing computer networks and computer systems, especially Macintosh.

I grew up on Lake St. Clair (the smallest of the Great Lakes :-)) in MI, so did a lot of swimming and boating as a kid. I've had the Siren for years, but I've always dreamed of having a larger boat to travel or live aboard. Not so much around the world, as all the waterways the US has to offer.

At this point it looks like the prices of old fiberglass sailboats has fallen into the basement, so I'm hoping next year to finally get something near 30ft
and do some travelling and get off the farm.

In the meantime, I'd love to get some more time on larger boats, so if you in Maine, please look me up!
