where to start in "upstate" ny?

So I've always wanted to learn to sail. I've been out sailing people and when I was younger I sailed several times with friends. All in all my sailing experiences could probably be counted on all of my digits (maybe even keeping one shoe on). Does anyone have any suggestions where to start? I'm about 1.5 hours north of NYC and about 20 minutes from the Hudson. Does anyone need a hand on their boat some weekends? I'm fit and able, learn fast and can follow directions. Any contacts/suggestions would be greatly appreicated!!!

Thanks,
Mark

If you want to have lessons further north I took some from Yankeeyacht sales on lake george. check the schedule and pricing on the web.

You can learn to sail on about any sailboat. Learing some of the finer points of anchoring, docking, cruising, maintenance, etc. you get a jump start with a boat nearer what you want to own (if you decide to own).

Ever get over to the Ithaca, NY area?
