I've been reading this site for quite some time and finally joined, jolted to do so after I took possession of a Bristol 44 that I intend to sail from the East Coast to the West Coast in November or December. I guess the extent of hurricane season will help me decide which month. I look forward to the discussions and tapping your knowledge.

Welcome aboard, Morris. Congrats on the Bristol. I'm sure you'll have a ball sailing her. You've come to the right place. Great site with literally hundreds of years of sailing, boat fixing, boat buying, etc. experience to tap into. Good people here, always ready to lend a hand or an ear.

Are you going to truck the boat at the Gulf? I'm interested to know how this is handled and what the issues are.
