Newbies absorbing everything we can!

Hello everyone!
We've been lurking on here for a while and have decided it is time to introduce ourselves. We recently bought a PDQ 32 catamaran (our first boat) and have been living aboard her here in Kingston, Ontario. We are new to sailing but are fast learners. Our plan is to leave for the Caribbean next summer so we have been researching as much as we can in the meantime. We are very much looking forward to learning as much as we can from everyone here and I am sure we will have lots of questions to ask.

Rebecca and Mike

Welcome to SN. You will have plenty of time to learn that you may want to avoid the Caribbean in the summer...

Uh yeah... we are leaving FOR the Caribbean next summer. It'll take us a while to get there and we intend to take our time and enjoy the trip down the ICW so yeah... won't be there in the summer

A trip down the ICW on a cat sounds like a great trip for you guys, with the caribbean at the end of the rainbow! Happy planning.
