Welcome Hans Christian!

I have had the same dream for years. I decided that if I want to live on a sailboat one fine day and actually sail it, that I had better learn how to sail.

So I got myself on a race boat in Saginaw Bay up in Michigan. In Colorado you might have more limited options. Try buying a Hobie and mastering that. I just bought 3. Lol.

Maybe look on google for sailing lessons near you, preferably a small boat like Hobie or sunfish, hell even a wind surfer which is what my skipper started on 30 years ago. All of the good captains in our area started on small boats.
