I look forward to participating and hearing people's experiences. There is one question as a sailor looking for a first cruiser. I am trying to wade through all the marketing about cruiser manufacturers and am looking to see if anyone has suggestions for cruisers that would be good for Gulf of Mexico/Caribbean cruising. I plan on staying out for months, eventually. I don't want a barge and would like to have quarters comfortable for 2 plus my labrador. One-handed sailing will be required and I would like a very solid ship. 38 to 44 feet is what I think I want. Please send any recommendations and I look forward to hearing back. Thanks.
