My question is does anyone here own a power sailor (MacGregor Oden or Hunter Edge) I like the Idea of having a motor in case I am Needed or bad weather Thanks

Hey gf - welcome to SN dude. Go find the MacGregor boat thread and you'll find some fans. A dude named Kermie can give you some good feedback.

Hello GF I bought a 26M last fall and sail it from Port Jeff. Enjoy it greatly.
If however , the main draw is having a decent power train: you should note that the rule of thumb ( please don't anyone go 'British History' on the origins of 'rule of thumb' ) is; a reccommended mimum of one hores to one foot. Ergo; 26 footer should have a minimum of 26 hp aux power. If you want to goose her for what ever reason, then the 60hp on my transom will get her moving ( I have clocked 16.5kts on a windless day ). I normally only use the aux for putting up and taking down the main.
We got the boat for the ability to trail and store. ( I can work on little things by going out to my back yard and tinker.

Blue Skies...
