New: does it count as sailing
New with my first boat, a Bristol Corsair 24. Does it count as sailing if this poor thing is going to spend a good deal of time on the hard being refurbed?
 Mine had been sitting for a good many years when I got her, and needs a lot of elbow grease, paint and refurb to get to a splashable stage. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions, and make a mistake or two along the way. Just wanted to say 'hi' to everyone in the interim. Tom |
Welcome to SN and good luckwith the refurb. At least ya got a boat to work on. :)

Hey there! I also have a B24 and I love the ole boat.
Glad you found your way to SN! This is a good site with all sorts of good info. If you need an extra hand anytime and your around Annapolis Md just give me a yell. Dan ;)

Thanks guys. As soon as I get this thing in the water, I'm sure it will be an adventure (well, so will the refurb). Currently the boat is at Buzzards Bay, so the Cheasapeak is a ways away yet.
Yeah, I see lots of info, and all sorts of possibilities... not only is my hull going to be a hole in the water for my cash, but a huge time sink as well. I spent last evening reading the old electric boat flame war thread, as I was pondering going electric instead of gas outboard with mine. Interesting reading here! |
