Hello everyone on SailNet! This is my first post on the forum and i wanted to introduce myself.

Im from Ottawa Canada living in Marseille. I dont have experience sailing but I'm hoping ill find a crew willing to help me. I've always been fascinated with traveling, and sailing seems like the best way to do it.

Well I'm 20 years old, going to school next year in Halifax Nova Scotia. I've been Hitch hiking across europe since august, worked picking grapes in the south of france for a couple weeks, house sat in Berlin for a month, Right now I'm house sitting in Paris, but I'm going back to Marseille In a week or so. I've been through Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, France and a bit of England. In Croatia, on the Adriatic, I was staying on a friends fishing boat and I spent a lot of time watching the boats come in from all around the world with their different flags. Thats when I noticed that it was a popular way to travel and that i don't have to rely only on airplanes. Living in Ottawa you don't see that many sailboats so it never crossed my mind to pick it up.

Sounds like you have the travel bug. Sailing is a great way to experience the world. The reality of sailing does not always meet the fantasy of sailing. Sometimes they are the same, and sometimes they are quite opposite. BEST WISHES in finding a boat to crew on, and getting some experience........i2f
