another new member of the sailnet community

Hi, im am 42 years old, have sailed up and down the coast of california for a few years, first in my coloumbia 28, then catalina 27, and most recent live on a hunter 33 (1980) (Chula vista marina in san diego bay).

are outfitting/preparing the hunter for a sailtrip down to panama in february, crossing the panama canal, and sail across the atlantic in april / may towards Norway.

if other members have recent experience about panama canal crossing or sailing in the atlantic in april / may, i would appreciate it.

I would think that April maybe a wee bit too soon. There's still some pretty strong cold fronts coming down into Florida then...........i2f
