New to SailNet with a question

Hello, we are new to sailing and new to SailNet. Last summer we purchased our first sailboat, a 1984 Beneteau First 32. We sailed our first season on Lake Ontario with our two children and were thinking of moving the boat to Georgian Bay this summer. I was wondering if anyone had any feedback or could share their experiences on taking a sailboat through the Welland Canal and the route through Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair and Lake Huron (as well on the length of time it might take).
