New boy

Introducing myself, (James).
I live on the north coast of Queensland's Australia.
Spending all my spare time exploring the great barrier reef , mostly on other mates boats. I have been in between boats now for 3 years because the next one will be a live aboard.
My dream is to sail my coastline & the South Pacific.
Still looking for the right boat, mullity or mono hull.
I want to be as close to the reef as possible, so many pros & cons!
I am very new to this kind of medium & would appreciate any help to achive my goals.
