Hey guys,

I'm a 19 year old guy from South Jersey, USA that just caught an urge to learn to sail. Don't ask me why, I'm trying to figure that out myself. Maybe it's the thought of being away from everything. So, I figured I'd educate myself a little bit.

Currently in college, student pilot (but at $149/hour (Cross Keys 17N)...lessons are few and far in between. Maybe that's why I want to learn how to sail?), and also a musician.

This website has a plethora of information and I've only scratched the surface. I look forward to learning and soon contributing back to this community.

Too cold to sail in Conroe TX. now 38deg. Iam a lake sailor with aCom-Pac 19 on Lake Conroe(about35mi. north of Houston,TX.) Conroe isn't a real big lake so an electric 55# thrust motor is good for a power plant most days. Last night we counted at least 5or 10 real SNOW flakes in the air! That is almost a Blizzard around here! Glad to find SailNet. Last I heard it was just trying to get going after some hard times in 2005 . Good Sailing to all.
