Hello,
I thought I should take a moment to introduce myself.
I have some sailing experience:
Chartering as monohull bareboat crew in the BVI many years ago... some sailing as Crew in Greece on some overnight passages.
Lots of sunfish sailing...
Some sailing as Crew on a Colgate 26 and O'Day 26, also in the BVI.
Some sailing on the Chesapeake including motoring up the C&D Canal at night.
I also have a lot of experience piloting a 21 foot run-about in and around St. Thomas, throughout the BVI from Jost Van Dyke to Virgin Gorda. Including night passages, and procedures for checking boats into and out of customs.
Other than that... I have no real sailing experience to speak of.
This May I am taking the US Sail Keelboating course from JWorld out of Annapolis to start rounding out my basic theory, get some sail handling knowledge/experience, increase my boating safety skills, etc... in the hope of taking a Bareboating class on the Chesapeake next summer, and maybe taking my wife and some friends out for a couple of weekends.
I look forward to the challange. I hope ya'll will be kind when I say stupid things on this board

.
I also express my gratitude for all your help in the coming years, and look forward to the camaraderie that may follow.
Thanks.
