Cool North Bay looking to race and network

Hi SailNet. Just so you know, I've been lurking for quite some time. But now that spring is coming to San Francisco and Sonoma County (I'm from the Maine coast but I live in Healdsburg) I am starting to think about ways to get on the water. My goal is to either crew on an ocean passage within a year or buy my own little cruiser to take off to points West. I'm 25 next week and I'm feeling antsy!

So, to that end, I've decided to get involved as much as I can in San Francisco's racing scene (on other people's boats, of course). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

It's good to be here.

Send an email to the guy who runs this site http://www.nbayracing.com/ he's up in the b'more area and should be able to get you on a boat. Also, just show up for a weds night race w/ a 6 pack. Someone will let you crew.
