Old sailor in a new old boat.

My wife and I just got back into sailing after a hiatus of 3 years. I started sailing back in the 80's. We purchased a 1973 Ranger 29 this past weekend. Great old boat in very good condition. It has a freshly overhauled Atomic 4 which makes this the first boat we have owned that doesn't have an outboard hanging off the stern. Got in the first sail last Sunday and are now waiting impatiently for the weekend.

Thanks, Saw. I rode around the lake a bit with my nephew-in-law in his powerboat last weekend and got a reminder of why I prefer sail. My niece and her 4 year old son spent some time on the sailboat and didn't want to go back to the powerboat. I believe in converting folks whenever I can.
