Hi from PA

I am an absolute beginner to boats in general. Wife and I have been discussing retiring a little early and buying a boat to live / sail on. I am looking at being able to consult while in port (am a Unix Admin by trade) but between gigs would like to be able to sail around and travel.

We live in Pennsylvania, but are looking to move south to somewhere a lot warmer than PA.
