New Sailor headed North from Florida next month

Hello, all! I'm a pretty new sailor with some motoring experience.

I just bought an Irwin 10/4 and am preparing it for a summer Journey North, leaving June 22nd. I'll be returning to the Miami/Keys area for the winter, and then who knows!

I hope to meet some folks here and share stories.

How far North?

How far North are you going? I have always wanted to do the exact opposite, travel from the Long Island sound to the Keys. I am not, however, comfortable doing it in my 22' S&S Sailmaster 22. Perhaps once I get a larger vessel.

RyanFromHolland is on a distinguished road
Hello Jay,

I'm Ryan (From Holland) 35 years young, I'm comming to Miami from the 17th June to the 2nd of July. I think it would be great fun to sail a fiew days together, when you leave the 22th(?). I have a 27ft sailboat my own, my ICC (International Certificate of Compliance to sail coastal waters and my certificate to use the maritime radio (radio certificate only valid on Dutch ships... :S). I have experience with ships and sailing for quite some years (I'm a sailors kid.. )
When you would like to meet and sail a bit with a nice and adventurous guy from Holland just let me know. I'm looking forward to it.
Maybe we can meet in Miami to look how we can get along. I myself are also very interested in your plans, material and experience.
You can reach me on ryande_wit@hotmailDOTcom
Hope to hear from you soon.
Greetings,
Ryan
