rainmaker7 is on a distinguished road
Greetings - intro

My friend just told me about this forum. I am from Washington, DC area and recently got my ASA certification (101/103/104/114) on Cat Lagoon 44'. Was looking to sail on monohull but the only boat available was a Cat.

Looking to participate in regattas (Cheasapeake Bay) if anyone needs a novice when shorthanded don't hesitate to ask. Alternatively, I could join a club to gain more experience on the water.

Hey rain - welcome to SN dude.

Keep poking around at marinas, beer can races, etc. - you'll find a ride. It's really not that hard.

The purchase price of a boat is just the admittance fee to the dance...you still have to spend money on the girl...so court one with something going for her with pleasing and desirable character traits others desire as well... or you could find yourself in a disillusioned relationship contemplating an expensive divorce.
