New member here, getting the urge to go sailing, again. I grew up sailing, but it's been about 30 years, so I think it's safe to say I'm a little rusty.
I stared sailing on small boats as a kid, and in the past, we (actually, my parents) owned a Butterfly, Sunfish, 420, and a Thistle. However, most of my sailing was aboard our Pearson 26. My father also owned a Carter 30, later, but I never really spent any time on that boat, as I was either off at college, or out in the real world, working.
Unfortunately, I'm land locked, at this time, so lake sailing is my only real option. That's not a completely bad thing, however, because virtually all of my sailing experience is on lakes. I do not currently have a boat, but the sailing bug has bitten pretty hard, so I'm not sure how long I can hold out.
I'll probably spend most of my time lurking, here, but I'm sure I will have some questions, once in a while.
Glad to be aboard!
