Hello!
I figured that I'd introduce myself, since I started a thread on the Gear & Maintenance side without any formal greetings. It was a little rude of me!
I've been around the sea for most of my adult life. I started by sailing while in college around seven years ago (little Lasers), but most of my time at sea has been as an officer on Navy ships. I was recently stationed in the Charleston, SC area, where I rediscovered my love of sailing.
After sailing with a friend of mine as crew, and taking a few lessons, my wife and I took the plunge by selling our powerboat. We're now the proud owners of the new-to-us Zephyr (1981 O H Rodgers 33) which my wife refers to as the "other woman".
Anyway, I love the site - there's a lot of insight here, and I'm looking forward to learning much more from all of you.
