Hi all,

Firstly, thanks to the creators, moderators and contributors for this wonderful forum!
I’ve been sailing for a dozen years and am currently the proud owner of a 1979 Alberg 29. This season is being spent on the hard, upgrading systems (electrical, plumbing, running rigging) and painting the deck all in preparation for a year long sailing adventure to the Bahamas (Sept/2011 – 2012). Looking forward to reading the posts and will try and contribute something useful to the discussions.

Welcome aboard, where are you at, any of the yacht clubs, Nepean is a good spot lots of great folks there. Did you just by the boat and by any chance did you get it in Ottawa as knew of an Alberg 29 there for sale which sold, wondering if yours might be it.
