Hello from the Eastern Shore of Virginia

My name is Thom and I have been a sailor for 51 years. I am a retired college instructor and professional artist. I currently own an 18' wooden sailboat at least 50 years old and a 35' aluminum sloop. I also collect and restore antique motorcycles. I have sailed as far south as St. Thomas and as far north as Barneget Bay,NJ.I lived aboard in Florida for 8 years( Angel City,Merritt Island). "My bucket list" is to have no unfinished projects, and sail to Cuba( when it becomes legal). I do some oystering, and boat repairs to supplement my pension. I have many interesting stories to share(perhaps too many) here's one:
When I was 11 years old I bought a small wooden pram,to sail the Toms River. Sold it as I moved up to bigger boats. When my son was 11, I wanted to buy him a boat, answered an add some hundred miles away and discovered my original boat. It had changed hands many times and the owner sold it to me for the same $75.00 I had originally recieved. When my son outgrew it, I sold it again for $75.00 I think that boat made a lot of kids happy.
Thanks for listening, Thom
