Ready to sail - what trailerable boat?

Hi all,

Family of four includes a boy and girl, age 9. Took the local YMCA Sailing classes and love sailing (daughter not so sure - took a bad accidental jibe). Currently enjoying our friend's 26M Macgregor but want our own boat. Plan to sail our local small lake often (Hefner - great winds most of the time), and hope to do a trip on the Arkansas River Nav System from Kerr Lake to Ozark, Arkansas within the next several months if we get one. No plans on crossing oceans or gulf streams.

We'd want to overnight one or two nights max and have a Subaru Tribeca or Toyota Landcruiser to haul.

Have looked at Macgregor, J/24, Beneteau First 235 and Hunter - really don't know what's best suited. Your thoughts are appreciated!
