Hello all from Denver

Greetings everyone,
I'm a longtime lurker who enjoys reading your many adventures sailing.
I'm currently in Denver and hoping to move closer to the water.
I was born and raised in Colorado but recently decided I want to be a sailor.
Needless to say we have lots of snow up here and not much water. I'm considering moving to the gulf area and purchasing my first sailboat. In the mean time I'm looking into sailing classes and learning what I can from the internet and books.

Any advice from you salty dogs would be appreciated. I'm completely new to where to start on this grand adventure.

Hey dl - welcome to SN dude. I lived in Denver for a couple of years and seriously miss the place. Heaven.

There's tons of info on here - as well as many, many salts that will talk you through just about anything.
