Newbie from the Canadian side of Lake Huron

My husband and I decided to take up sailing after spending some time on a friends 36 foot CSMerlin last summer.
We took sailing lessons in July in 14 foot dingies and started looking at boats, not very seriously but just to see what was out there.
We found a 30 year 26 foot Nash in excellent shape at a location that suited us perfectly. We put in an offer and a few hours later we were the new owners.
Excellent shape for a 30 year old boat that is
We've done some work on it. Have learned what seems like a lot about boats, sailing, marinas etc.
We've had it out twice now. And hoping to get it out in the lake a few more times before the end of the season.

Welcome aboard! Hope the end of the season doesn't come too soon for you up there - I'll bet it's beautiful sailing.

Fair winds,

Sixpoint

Our boat is not scheduled to come out of the water until the 22nd of October. We hope to get in a few short trips before then.

Welcome! I grew up in Port Huron and know the area you are in from my childhood playing hockey all over the area. Enjoy, and hopefully the summer will remain until you get a few more outings completed and have your boat tucked away for the winter.
