Introduction
Hello everyone. GOMI is one of the names that a close boating friend and I came up with while dreaming of taking off and doing the live aboard life in order to get away from cell phones, meetings and emails. It stands for "Get Off My Island" in which everyone is invited unless you have a cell phone, meeting or emails.
I recently got rid of a "fixer upper" in the SF Bay area. It was so much of a fixer upper that I only sailed her once. I am looking for another boat on the gulf coast but will probably not do anything for another 6 months (divorce.)
My sailing experience is limited and was mostly spent repairing, reading or day crewing with friends. I know most people prefer the fast boats that get you to a destination while I prefer to enjoy the trip and the destination is just an excuse to take off.
I look forward to meeting everyone and if anyone needs an inexperienced person to help crew, I can take some vacation and pay my way.
Thanks
