New post and user, lurker for months

Well, I've been reading on this forum for a few months and have learned a great deal, thanks to all with their great posts and informative ideas.

After chartering for quite a while and looking for our boat for over a year, we're happy to say that we are closing on our 2000 Beneteau 361 this week. She's up in Connecticut and we live in North Carolina. Our plans are to sail her back in late October.

Welcome to Sailnet.

People around here help in person too. I posted on Sailnet looking for crew to move our new-to-us Beneteau in November '08. After a quick phone interview of those interested, we got a great crew.

That's another resource for you if you need help with the trip. The weather gets a bit more interesting in the North East in the late fall.

Regards,
Brad
