Son of a Sailor
My father is the primary sailor in my family. Regrettably, I'm too busy trying to finish up my engineering degree to get out on the water much, but I do when I can.
I joined this forum with the hope of getting some questions answered.
As an engineer, I love building, and I am currently working with a team to investigate the dangers faced by small boat sailors. Having some sailing experience, I am aware of the dangers of sailing alone, especially for fisherman, crabbers, etc. who sometimes have no choice.
My question:
-Are heart attacks/slipping overboard significant fears for folks who sail alone?
-If yes, are the fears significant enough to warrant a solution?
I appreciate everyone's input!
