Kiwis can sail

Hi from down under (New Zealand, I'm new to forums , posting threads etc but have beeen a keen sailer since I was 6 . I've owned all sorts of boats and now have a Bruce Roberts 38 , built comletely in steel and altered to include a pilot house. She is the perfect cruising boat , but will never break any speed records (if your comfortable whats the hurry?)
I bought her for 6k nz (roughly 4 k US) as an unfinished project and am still finishing her while cruising in her as well .I'm hoping to pick up tips on projects and sailing ideas , and to see what people think about my more unconventional ones (galvanised rigging wire is superior to Stainless etc etc)
Anyone who is thinking of heading here and wants info just yell. Auckland is a small boring city (all cities are) with one of the best cruising harbours in the world , for that reason alone I can live here.
