Hydroplane is on a distinguished road
Smile Hello from the frozen north!

Well I suppose I should introduce myself. I am an ex-pat, living on the west coast of Norway.
We (my wife and I) are thinking of retiring a little early on a boat in the Med. We have traveled extensively around the Med. on land and love it!

I have been reading this forum for some days and find the general philosopy to re-enforce my wishes..LOL. We are not rich, but with a little creativity figure that we have a chance to pull it off.
I am here to dispell/support/modify our goals.
Can anyone direct me to threads pertaining to costs?

I have been working in/around/on the sea all of my life. Not much sailing experience (to be gained). I am a aluminum/stainless steel welder specialist. commercial diver/automation mechanic/technician/carpenter, etc. One of my thoughts are, that it might be possible to pick up some small income from time to time.

Looking forward to any input/direction from the members here.

There have been some threads about cost with widely varied experiences. You might start one in the "cruising and living aboard" section. But I think that you will need to form your own answer based on your desired vessel, equipment and location. In reality, I think it costs as much as you've got.
