Hello from upstate south carolina

finally decided to stop wasting money on fuel and got a sailboat.

I'm in the middle of restoring an old Venture 21 (i believe it's a venture 21)

I'll get pics up as soon as she's done being painted.

If there are any local sailors in the area i'd love to pick your brain! This is my first sailboat. Figured the best way to learn about one is to restore her from the ground up.

Hope to get her on the water in 2 weeks. Just need some parts to finish her up and a better lower back for all the sanding.

Good luck! We're working on an old VN23

We'll probably sail her in the Beaufort/Morehead City area in North Carolina.

thanks for the kind words!

turns out she seem to be an old luger boat, pre venture!

a westwind or winward 21, either way very similar to the venture 21

just picked up the new trailer for her.

the painting is going slower than expected due to weather keeping me from sanding!

got a new mainsail coming by mail, hopefully it will be here early next week and found a local rigging shop. It's coming together slowly
