Dreamer for now, but hello!

Hello, names Wolff. I grew up in Charleston SC and always saw boats and what not, assuming they were for the richer-than-me-class of people lol. Recently however I've noticed online some very reasonably priced sailboats and am considering a live-aboard status once I move back home.

Anyway, I'll post more on that elsewhere, this is after all just a welcome thread

Welcome to sailnet. There is a good group of folks here that have combined experience that honestly covers about everything everwhere.

You should ask a couple of questions right off the bat like 'What is the best anchor?", "thoughts on bull dogs aboard" , and "what makes a blue water boat?".

Seriously though I reccomend that you read through some of the very informative and educational posts on this site regarding boat purchase and living aboard. I suspect you will enjoy the reading and learn a good bit to boot.

thanks for the warm welcome guys. Sorry the reply took so long, I've been lurking about just never got around to typing things up.

This site is great, I've already doubled what I knew about boats since signing up haha. Now to quadruple my double and go from there.

Hi Wolff,
I'm sort of new at SN too. I'm located in Charleston and I just bought my first boat this past December. It has been a great experience getting her fixed up. I hope to have her back in the water this weekend.

You are right there are a lot of good deals on watercraft right now so you don't have to be "rich" to get in the water.

Let me know when you are in town.
