New to Sailnet and New to Sailing

Hi all,

I've always harbored (pun intended) the dream to sail, and after a week in the BVI's last summer with family I decided that it's finally time to really learn. Taking a week long live-aboard class next month in the Chesapeake. Can't wait.

My short term plans are to get back out on a few charters later this summer for experience and fun. Hoping to to do a charter abroad next year, and possibly purchase a small(ish) boat assuming my wife enjoys it as much as I know I will.

Cheers,
Mike

Sounds like a good plan, Mike, welcome aboard! Chesapeake is a great place to learn, very forgiving, even if not as beautiful as the BVIs.
