Looking to Crew: Oz to Asia (or NZ)

Hello,
I’ve just joined after a little browsing and thought I’d get posting ASAP.

I’m going to be Australia around the end of September and I’m looking to crew on a boat to anywhere out of Australia, possibly to New Zealand or Islands in the South Pacific/Solomon Sea. I could sail from other ports on the East coast.
OR
I could be in New Zealand at the end of September and would be interested in sailing to Australia.

More for the experience than anything and I have time on my hands before Christmas.
I’ve had basic crewing experience on barge boats and on yachts in the Lake District in the UK.

I’m 28 years old, male, 6’3” tall, healthy, easy to get along with and a pretty good cook. I have a UK passport and travel insurance.

If ‘hitching’ a sail is on the cards then great, but otherwise sharing some costs could be negotiated.

Does anyone have any advice, contacts or tips to be able to do this?
