Ahoy!..and all that stuff.

I finally decided to join in on the fun...seeing as how most of my Google searches wash up on your shores anyways.

I've lived in South Florida for 30+ years and I am searching for my very first sailboat. I've had plenty of experience on motorboats (which I love too), but the wind speaks to me more.

A couple of years ago, [...] at work, and I had to give up those plans to buy my own boat. I just couldn't afford it anymore.

This month I will either be laid off, OR receive a significant pay raise. Either way, and even if it means foreclosing on my "upside-down" home mortgage, I am buying a boat.
Free would I live on the sea.

Thanks for this site.
It is an amazing resource. I wouldn't know where to begin my journey without it.

Nice to see you here. Your story is unfortunately all-too common these days. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey, if I can't be sailing at least I can be here!

Thanks. I decided to document my boat shopping adventure in another thread:

So, anyone can drop in have a good laugh at my mistakes (or offer some advice).
