New guy from Western MD

Hello all. New to sailing, but have been lurking sailing sites for quite a while. Just bought a Commodore 26, and plan on spending the next year or so fixing her up and learning all I can before getting her on the water.

Look forward to learning from all you experts!

Mike

Welcome aboard,

We love Western Maryland, have a place near Deep Creek Lake.

Can you sail the Commodore on the lake?

Hello Chef,

Yes I can sail her on Deep Creek. 26' is the max. That's where her previous owner has had her for the last 3 years, and that's probably where I will be sailing her to begin with.

Sweet! I restored a little dingy sailor and keep it at the cabin up there. I would like to get something I could get the family out on when we're there. Congrats on the new boat!

Thank you sir. Keep in touch, and maybe we could hook up next summer and you could show me the ropes. I'll be the one struggling to keep the 26' sailboat afloat.
