Iíve been lurking too long

I have simply learned so much from the collective knowledge of this community; I felt that I could no longer lurk anonymously. Because of this group, in part, I found that even though I lived in NE Oklahoma and many miles from the closest ocean, I could still learn to sail. Hence, I have embarked on a Quest To Sail. Through these lurking years, I have taken my ASA courses through my Advanced Coastal Cruising, bought a boat (Catalina 30) and just got back from a bareboat charter in the BVIs with my wife and two kids. Now, I have even started a blog wherein I write about my Quest Ö So, I say Ė Thank you Sailnet!

Catalina 30

Congratulations on completing the courses and buying the boat!

I'm rather partial to Catalinas. I hope you consider joining the C30 Yahoo email group. Everything that you'll ever want to change/upgrade/fix/replace/etc on your boat has already been done and everyone on that group is more than willing to help.

If you haven't found it already, the C30 owners association website has old manuals, diagrams and other helpful information.
