Transplanted Hawaiian, learning to sail.

Howsit every body. Newbie here, I currently live in Apple Valey CA but, my buddy has a 37' sloop in Long Beach and I'm gettin ready to learn to sail. Growin up in the islands, I really miss and love the water so I'm lookin forward to sailing..
