Sailing from Baltimore to Norfolk / October 12-16, 2011
Looking for two like minded crew members to join us (Rich and Terri) during the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race. Since we are a ketch rig we will not be participating in the race but we do plan to be a sponsor of the event, participate in the festivities, and follow the 50+/- schooners on our fall migration south.
Like us, crew will need to arrange their own transportation, offers to share expenses would be greatly appreciated, and we prefer if you have some sailing and navigation experience. The trip from Baltimore to Norfolk will be a 24hr overnight experience so a willingness to share nightwatch is a must.
Crew (couple preferred) will share the forward cabin which sleeps two and be expected to share in all the duties. Everyone is equal on board ... that is until they disagree with the Captain!

We plan to sail to our fall dock from there so you would need to get transportation from Norfolk to home.
You will have a nicely appointed private cabin and head at the bow of the ship which is a classic 1972 Hinckley H-49 CC ketch. Our cabin is aft so your cabin is as private as it can be on a 49' vessel. We would do this trip on our own if we weren't trying to follow the race overnight. We thought it would be nice opportunity to present to another sailing couple if they are a good fit.
