New kid, old squid....

Working at my next leap forward in life so I'm here to get to know the players and probably more importanly the rules.
Here's a little bit about me; I spent 4 years in the Navy (1972-1976) and took 3 WESPAC cruises. A friend intrduced me to recreational sailing about 12years ago aboard his O'Day 22. After a few years I bought a Hobie Cat 14 and graduated to a my Macgreggor 22 about 5 years ago which I take for muliti day trips on the lakes here in central Arkansas. I drug my cat to the Gulf a couple times just for fun.
Recently I decided I might try some coastal cruising when I retire so in the interest of protecting ya'll from me I'd learn a bit about it. Last year I got some ASA certs, not to be certified but to be prepared, and in doing so got some some offshore experience in South Florida. Next year I'm working on my Navigation.
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and hope I can be of help along the way.

Stay Cool,

Michael

Welcome, Michael.

We started out with a Venture 2-22. Ended up giving it away to a couple who are now good friends.

I'm looking forward to the day I give mine away, always hoped it'd be to one of my kids but only one of them share my desire and she's run off to college with her boyfriend so who knows....
I'm shopping around for my next boat but I'm looking at 5 years before that move.
I hope to see ya'll out there!

Stay Cool,

Michael
