Hello from Texas

Just a sea & sail lover, pretty much work, sleep and take care of my kid and escape a few weeks a year to the sea. I work and live in Texas and have my boat on the pacific coast.
I have been in love with sailing since I was a kid and purchased my Valiant 5 years ago.
Am planing to retire on it when the day comes, until then I get in as much time as I can on it and update & prepare for my great adventure.
As I get older, currently 44 I more seriously plan my live aboard life, soon as my last brat finds her way out of the nest to chase her dreams I will set off to fulfilling mine.
Nice to meet you all.

Marc

Good to have you aboard... wow, your kids teenagers? Harsh description of the offspring.

I've been calling mine motormouth lately, because she usually strings her sentences together by the time she arrives till she goes home. However I suspect it's because she does almost NOTHING when she is with Mom.

Again good to have ya, and it's good to have long term goals too.

Not harsh, she has been Brat as a term of endearment quite a while now. She is my brat and she knows it.

Ranger-26-Duluth is on a distinguished road
Hi Marc,

I'm new to Texas.

I am brand new to this site, and have a Ranger 26 that I live aboard all summer long up in Duluth, Minn. I love sailing around the Apostle Islands (north coast of Wisc, 22 islands, with only 1 with people on it). I just semi-retired to San Antonio, and will probably be living aboard in the next year or two.

Good luck with your plans.

Gregg H

Hi! Also new to the site and very new to sailing. Good luck with your retirement plans! My husband and I don't have little ones, so our retirement is going to happen a lot sooner! Where abouts in Texas are you? I have family there and am hoping to take some classes there in the next couple of years.
