Atlanta Greetings!

Hello there, folks! Just found this site not too long ago via another sailing forum and thought it'd be good to branch out and add to the knowledge.

I sail on Lake Allatoona northwest of Atlanta, Georgia. I come from good stock as my father owned a sailboat dealership back in the late 70s/early 80s before the industry took its hit; he also raced Tornadoes competitively. I've been sailing myself for about seven years on everything from board boats to cruising catamarans.

I recently purchased my first monohull, a 1972 Catalina 22, hull number 1241. I've only owned catamarans - loved my Nacra 5.2 and it pained me greatly to sell her - my need for more room and a trailer-sailor to overnight in made the Catalina 22 a no-brainer buy. Plus, I can entertain the fairer sex much easier in this than I could on the tramp of a performance cat!

I hope to glean beaucoup information and perhaps make some connections and find like-minded people nearby.
