Noob intro

I've done a little posting and lurking but thought I would say hi.
I just started sailing this summer. I found a deal on a 8' Ranger sailing dinghy. Got bored of it pretty quick and there wasn't enough room for more than me and the dog.
I sold the Ranger and bought a Cal21, Makai, the same day. Been sailing nearly every day since. I'm lucky enough to live on a lake here in Wa and the swing keel let's me pull right up to the dock.
I'm having alot of fun and have only scared myself a couple times.
I am trying to work up the courage to take her out on the Puget Sound. I'm sailing single handed and learning by hard knocks...but hopefully not knock downs.

Welcome! Sounds like you're doing it right. When you take on bigger water just be careful. You never stop learning to sail.
