I understand you are at sea...I would gladly trade places with you. Since the early 60's I've been threatening to drop everything and set an ouyward bound course but, a new family and career took center stage....my boat/s were put on the back burner. Now 40 some years later, I MIGHT get around to taking my boat off the drafting board.

swab...when someone is sitting inland east of san diego (me)...Honolulu is "at sea.."

"Off the drawing Board"? Your own design? Or another's that you plan to build? Or just a figure of speech?

Actually I have two designs I have been playing with for too long...one, a30' modified dory...sail...liveaboard. The other, a 30', sailing pram/garvey...live aboard. Am too damned old for much blue water voyaging so I plan on coastal travel. A 30' live aboard should be plenty big as I will be doing a lot of poking around ashore along the north west coast....got family in Alaska too...neither boat is MY design...I'm just massaging two different proven boats .........George L

Still pretty cool. I've never built anything larger than a dinghy. Do let us know how it goes.
