Finally out of the shadows

After a few months lurking in the shadows here,I've decide to register and start drowning the forum with questions of my own.
A little about myself. I treated myself last year on fathers day to an ASA sailing course. I had went out with a friend a couple of times and got some tiller time, before I bought my first boat this summer. I am a proud owner of a 1989 Catalina 22 wing keel. It's a beautiful boat as the previous owner took great care of it. Ive only been able to take it out Half a dozen times so far and every time I learn a great deal, as does my first mate. She had never even sailed before our first outing. She now handles the jib sheets with ease and can tie a perfect cleat hitch. I look forward to all the excellent input and advice from this site

Bill
