Hi there...

My name is Jeff and I am new to Sailnet and sailing altogether. I have owned powerboats in the past but I have always wanted to learn to sail. I am really interested in coastal cruising in the Northeast part of the country but I guess I had better learn how to sail first . I have joined the ASA but I was wondering if anybody could recommend a school in either MA or CT. I would also be really interested in hearing about how other people got into sailing and some of the things that a newbie should look out for. Thanks!! Jeff

Welcome Jeff. I can't help you with your school question but I'm sure someone else will soon.

There are probably as many different "how it happened" stories as there are sailnet members. I sailed with others and got hooked before purchasing my own boat.
