new to site

Hi my name is Eliot and I'm new to the site. I live in NYC and love to sail. I would love to build up a contact list of people in the area that have boats and need crew for either Cruising, Racing, deliveries or anything really. I just want to get out on the water.

I have the following certifications:

US Sailing Keel boat
US Sailing Coastal Cruising
US Sailing Bareboat Charter

An opportunity for frost biting races right on the Hudson River: SailNY - New York City's Community Sailing Association

I don't belong to this organization but wish I could. It is actually pretty affordable.

I've got my own boat up in Nyack that we race on Wednesdays but that would not start until May of next year or so.

I'm up for it, but I don't have proper foul weather gear. Any suggestions?
