Rickem is on a distinguished road
Good Day!!

Well, the names Rick and been hovering over the forum from the outside for a while. Haven't sailed in a few years but I hit 40 in the next month. Been thinking about Livin' aboard and got my eye on Hunter 35. She's starting to get a little chilly up here in the north so I thinks it's about time to put my sea legs back on and head south and purchase a boat.

Cheers

Sounds like a great plan! What year is the Hunter? What is your travel plan?
Welcome aboard!

The Hunter is an 87 Legend. My plan would be to travel by bus/car south if a deal can be made. If not, I can get a 82 Columbia31 here between the Ontario/Quebec border cheap and sail East coast down. I earn my keep on the internet, it pays the bills with some left over so don't think there's much reason I couldn't do it aboard in warmer weather. I live in a 30 foot trailer during the summer on private land still paying rent for my apartment in town so the savings could go towards the boat/upgrades/finance if had to. I'm used to living secluded and quite content by myself land or sea.

I think my best bet would be to travel south and shop the marinas, any idea would be great.

Cheers
